Sometimes it’s fun to do a different type of dessert. I actually made this back in t he Fall when it was cooler out so we had a warm dessert to sit outside and eat, but it’s really good any time of year. We like to add some ice cream on the side for summer time. Do you have an unique desserts your family likes?

Midnight Nutella Banana Sandwich
(Adapted from Air Fry Genius by Meredith Laurence)

Printer Friendly Version

Butter, softened
4 slices white bread
1/4 cup chocolate hazelnut spread (Nutella)
1 banana

Pre-heat the air fryer to 370 Degrees F.

Spread the softened butter on one side of all the slices of bread ad place the slices buttered side down on the counter. Spread the chocolate hazelnut spread on the other side of the bread slices. Cut the banana in half and then slice each half into three slices lengthwise.

Place the banana slices on two slices of bread and top with the remaining slices of bread (buttered side up) to make two sandwiches. Cut the sandwiches in half (triangles or rectangles) – this will help them all fit in the air fryer at once. Transfer the sandwiches to the air fryer.

Air-fry at 370 degrees F. for 5 minutes. Flip the sandwiches over and air-fry for another 2 to 3 minutes, or until the top bread slices are nicely browned.

Pour yourself a glass of milk or a midnight nightcap while the sandwiches cool slightly and enjoy.
