I’m a Dr. Pepper girl 100% over Coke any day! I thought this chicken would hit the spot, but it fell a little flat. It was ok, but not a lot of flavor going on. I think it works best for feeding a crowd and if you do be sure to use this as a stuffing in baked potatoes.

Slow Cooker Dr. Pepper BBQ Chicken

2 pounds chicken breast (boneless and skinless)
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cup Dr. Pepper
2 cups BBQ sauce

Place chicken in the slow cooker and season with onion powder, garlic powder, and pepper.

Pour Dr. Pepper and BBQ sauce on your seasoned chicken and place lid on your slow cooker.

Cook on high for 4-5 hours or in low for 6-7 hours. Once chicken is cooked through shred and serve.

Optional: serve with hamburger buns.
