In honor of my my hubby’s birthday yesterday I’m doing another cookbook giveaway. (He would rather me empty my whole closet of cookbooks, but hey I’m taking baby steps.) Ok after a long weekend of BBQ on to the cook-off results…..drum roll please…..
Hubby placed 2nd in brisket and 3rd in ribs while our other teammates placed 1st in chicken, 2nd in ribs and 3rd in brisket.
For our “other” category we decided to make my fish tacos. I’m sad they didn’t place, but I’m proud our other teammates placed 1st with shrimp stuffed mushrooms and sausage stuffed mushrooms.
Normally we are all one team, but we decided to break up and see how we would do against each other. Overall we dominated the contest despite all the rain we had. It rained and poured Friday and Saturday up until 3pm (4 1/2 inches worth!!).
