I recently bought a Blackstone and let me tell you it’s everything I have dreamed of! It’s so easy to cook on and works for every meal…..like every meal from breakfast to dinner to snack to desserts! I have a lot of recipes to test out and I am beyond excited! I started out with this sloppy joe recipe. You can easily make this in a cast iron pan on the grill or stove top. Part of cooking is being inspired by things and just because you can’t make it one way doesn’t mean you can’t make the dish. The grill for sure added some flavors over doing it the traditional stove top version, and I have to say it was delicious! Let me know your favorite things to try on the Blackstone in the comments below.
Blackstone Sloppy Joes
(Adapted from Grill on a Dime)
1 pound Ground Beef
¼ Onion diced
2 teaspoons Minced Garlic
½ cup Ketchup
2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
2 Tablespoons Yellow Mustard
4 Hamburger Buns
Preheat the Blackstone Grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees F).

Brown the ground beef with the diced onion on the Blackstone grill over medium high heat until no longer pink and browned.

Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until the garlic is aromatic.
In a small bowl, stir together the ketchup, brown sugar and mustard. (I didn’t waste cleaning another dish just pour it on the meat.)
Top the beef with this mixture. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

Heat over medium high heat for 2-3 minutes.
