I’m doing a dry January, but we made this back in December and I’m finally able to share it. I don’t mind scotch, but the one my husband chose to use for this recipe is a really smoky one. That was a turn off for me, but otherwise he loved it. I’ll need to retry this another time with a different scotch.

(Adapted from Mix That Drink)
1 ½ ounce Scotch whiskey
¾ ounce sweet vermouth
Dash of angostura bitters
Maraschino cherry
Fill a mixing glass with cracked ice, and add your liquors to it.

Give them a good stir.
Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
